Vor einigen Jahren war ich mal bei einem Tierschutz-Treffen. Dort haben sich die Leute teils negativ über „Auslands-Tierschutz“ unterhalten: „Ob dies denn so gut wäre - wir haben hier in den Tierheimen genug Tiere…“ etc. Irgendwie fühlte ich mich dort fehl am Platz. Ja, wir haben hier viele Tiere in unseren Tierheimen, die unsere Fürsorge benötigen, aber denen geht es verhältnismäßig gut, im Vergleich zu den Tieren, die auf der Straße (über)leben müssen. Ich habe noch die schrecklichen Bilder von einem Hund im Kopf, der vergiftet wurde … Jeder Einsatz für Tiere ist toll, egal ob im In- oder Ausland. I’ve been getting a lot of Booger memories from two years ago lately. These were the times when it started to get hard. His diagnosis was in March 2017 and this picture was two years ago today. He had less than two months left. At the time, I had bad anxiety every day because I had no idea when I would know it was time.
