We’re officially home. Had a great time in New Orleans. Baymax blew me@out of the water navigated crowds with no redirection alerted even though he was burning up tasks flawlessly. He definitely wasn't afraid, he just desperately wanted to play. He was constantly showing the play bow and trying to get closer to them We definitely need to work on his play impulses with other animals, but I was glad to see that he wasn't afraid ☺️

Back to scent training we go! I suffer from generalized anxiety disorder, and PTSD, so I go through quite a lot of anxiety filled moments. It often starts small and I will ignore it, hoping that it goes away. Of course though, it never does and will escalade to a full blown attack. ⁣ ⁣ We are working on scent training to detect the onset of anxiety. In the jar is a cotton ball sample of my saliva when I was having an active panic attack. It’s stored in a bag in a freezer, I defrost it, then place it in the jar. This smell is increased cortisol levels and Nessie is being trained to grab her Bringsel (we just ordered two nice ones, so this one around her neck is temporary) and look at me. It will take lots of practice for her to do live alerts and I’m excited to put the work in!
