It’s been a while since I have touched on infertility but a few things happened this week that just stopped me in my tracks. Something that just made me sit in awe of how God works. . . One thing about infertility- I’d never wish it on ANYONE. Not even my worst enemy. But something oddly sweet happens when you find people that have also walked that road too. It’s a bond you cant describe. An “I know how you’re feeling” without ever saying a word. Seeing the world and pain through very similar eyes. I hate that more and more women join this circle with me. Hate it. But God continues to use the hurt and turn it to good. It's NATIONAL INFERTILITY AWARENESS WEEK.... and after we very easily got pregnant with Weston, I never would have thought we'd have had so many issues growing our family to four. We ended up getting pregnant with Tessa after addressing some adrenal/hormonal issues of mine. She had been due July 2017. But we lost her at 14 weeks along to Turner Syndrome. Coming back from that, my hormones were completely different and secondary infertility consumed my life, my heart. It's so much more talked about these days that you hear often to not ask a couple when they are going to hurry up and have a child. But also think twice before doing the same with someone who already is a parent. The desire for a sibling for Weston far surpassed my desire for a child in the first place.... and watching everyone else continue to grow their families was painful. We got our rainbow baby thanks to IVF and Midwest Reproductive Center, PA. But not everyone is so fortunate. So for those who feel any sort of pain or bitterness when I share my own baby pics...I am sorry. I think of you every time I post. I just hope you don't lose hope. The countdown is on!! Three-ish weeks until our frozen embryo transfer!! . . We only have ☝ so I’m praying it sticks and we will be pregnant going into July! ❤️ . . On another note, I had to take lovenox shots for my entire pregnancy with Brayden and for the 14 weeks we were pregnant with our second. I did not give myself a single shot! I was TERRIFIED! . . I tried once and sat in the bathroom for 30 min and I just couldn’t do it. I relied on my husband, my mom, and my sister to give them to me. . . Fast forward to now (after 4 years of infertility) and I am a pro at giving myself shots! I will admit, I’m a little (LOT) nervous to give myself the PIO shots! . . I can get pregnant and stay pregnant. • To release my fears I said this out loud. I said this out loud 30 times before I believed it. The first few times even saying the words gave me extreme anxiety in my chest and belly. I learned that I had a wall up and those words were not sinking in. So over and over again I repeated it, I can get pregnant and stay pregnant. • Finally I felt the walls start to come down and could feel the hope in my words and the anxiety lifting. 30 TIMES it took me to finally find ease in that phrase, to finally believe it. And I will repeat it everyday until my rainbow baby is here, those walls are strong but so am I.
