So I hate recommending products from Trader Joe’s because I know they aren’t everywhere but if you ever come across one you need to go in and get this. This is their Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Mask which retails for $3 and you get 5.1 Oz. I love how cheap this is especially because I have so much hair and I use so much product when I’m washing hair, especially when I’m doing a hair mask. I know there are conflicting reports and theories about coconut oil on your skin but this mask is so effective. There is no added fragrance and is safe for color treated hair! My biggest problem when washing my hair is that it tangled so easily and is such a mess after I wash it I can’t comb it all out. I’ve been using this for a few months now and it honestly is such a game changer. It’s really effective at making my hair easy to comb out along with keeping it super moisturized and healthy. Sometimes I shampoo and condition and do this mask but other times I skip the conditioner and I don’t really notice the difference, it’s still just as soft. I usually keep this mask on for about 10-15 minutes while I’m in the shower and wash it out right before I get out. I think the longer you leave it on the more effective it is and helpful to your hair, so wrap it up and throw a clip it your hair while you’re showering with this in it really makes a difference when you’re trying to keep your hair from getting soaked while you have this on. Since I’ve started using this I’ve noticed that my hair has been softer and shinier I’m really focused on keeping my hair hydrated especially during the winter because of how long it and this has been a life saver. As you can tell my little Egyptian Magic Cream has been loved I got this 0.25 oz at & Other Stories a while back honestly because I picked it up at the check out counter and the girl went on and on about how much she loved it so I thought I’d give it a try. She told me that she used it on everything, her lips, her elbows and even under eyes. That’s where I started with this cream. The winter here in new york has been so windy and harsh to be in my skin has really taken a beating. And if I’m being honest in my large stash of makeup and skincare I only have ONE real full size eye cream (Kiehls creamy avocado eye cream which I love btw) but I was putting this on my lips one night and I thought maybe I should try it under my eyes. Since using this I’ve noticed such a difference in the skin under and around my eyes for the better. My skin is hydrated and not irritated at all which usually happens because my eyes water a lot and the salt in my tears burns lol. It is such a simple product and I didn’t think it would have such a positive effect on my skin, but it has. Along with keeping my under eyes hydrated I’ve been using it on dry patches on my skin and it absorbs into the skin so well it has made this winter so much more bearable for me. It has a Vaseline consistency but isn’t sticky and has zero smell to it at all. Let’s talk about @collabmakeup ! Of course I heard about them from the queen @glamlifeguru and I knew I had to try them for myself. I bought their palette pro eyeshadow palette and a pressed powder which I haven’t tried yet! At $14.99 for an 8 pan eyeshadow palette it isn’t cheap but isn’t overpriced. I actually bought two things because it was buy one get one free so it ended up being $14.99 for both things which is such a deal! I would recommend buying col-lab when it’s on sale because it makes it such a great deal. The shadows in this palette are a m a z i n g ...I don’t have enough good things to say about this palette. The shadows are creamy and super easy to blend. I sometimes fall into the trap thinking that I need to put a lot of shades on my eye to make a good look but this palette is prof that sometimes you just need a few good shades to make an awesome look. The last time I used this palette I just blended the brown shades into my crease and the cream shade across my lid and was good to go in 5 minutes. I think shadows like this are great especially because they don’t need a lot of blending to look great, which is my favorite thing especially in the morning before work if I decided to do shadow I like it to be quick and easy. Let’s talk about @theordinary_th ! I first discovered the ordinary back in college when I was on a tighter budget and was really interested in the idea of a beauty brand that refused to spend money on packaging or advertising to deliver quality products at reasonable prices. (We all know that for most beauty products you’re paying that steep price tag for advertising and shelf space in stores right?) Not to say that my collection isn’t filled with high end makeup and skin care because it is but at the time I thought it was so refreshing to see a brand so transparent and different then what I’d been seeing at that time. With that first order I got a bunch of different products, many of which I love but this product I adore, it’s my favorite product from the ordinary. Alpha Arbutin has been a gift from the heavens for me. I don’t have acne scars, but I tend to get blackheads and the occasional zit on my chin which I can’t help but picking at and that has lead to scarring on my chin. I’ve used this product time and time again on my scars and it has helped leaps and bounds. It helps even out the redness on my chin and helps lighten dark spots I have. It isn’t a heavy oil, it’s very light and easy to put on. There’s no residue left on my skin, it absorbs into my skin wonderfully and has no smell which is so important to me. Not that I am really all that concerned about fragrance in my skincare I just hate strong scents in something that is going to sit on my face, and I’m going to be breathing in all night. Honorable mention goes to the caffeine solution which is love to use in the morning, especially when I haven’t gotten much sleep the night before. I just pop a few drops under my eyes and rub it in with my @nursejamie eyeroller and I’m good to go. It has a cooling effect on your skin even though it doesn’t sit in the fridge (maybe I should start keeping it there?) and it really wakes your eyes up in the morning which I usually tend to need.
