Shawn’s POV: “That sounded pretty great guys, maybe we should take a break, eh?” There was a chorus of agreements. Everyone got up and immediately stood to stretch and yawned at the long hours of work they had put in. I decided to take a step outside of the recording studio and grab a drink. As I step into the hall, I’m immediately hit by a wall, leaving me with a headache. Well, what I thought might’ve been a wall. See this “wall” crumbled into a bunch of papers. “I’m so, so sorry. I- I didn’t mean to-“ the wall spoke. I looked up and noticed a girl furiously trying to pick up a pile papers. So that’s what happened. I bent down as well and handed her the last paper. Soon, we both stood up and made eye contact, and I froze. Her eyes, there’s something about them. She immediately reached out and went to gently touch my forehead. “I didn’t hurt you did I?” I flinched back as she touched a sore spot on my head. She immediately pulled back her hand and looked to the ground, softly pushing some hair behind her ear. “I’m sorry, I’m overstepping my boundaries.” I smiled and tried to make eye contact with her. “Hey, it’s ok. No need to worry.” She looks up and smiles. “Well, I’m sorry for bumping into you. See you around, I guess.” She immediately starts to go down the hall, and I find myself watching her hair swing for a moment before I go back into the recording studio, without my drink. ••• How’d y’all like Part 1? Your POV: As Shawn enters my house I wait till he’s ahead of me so I can close the door. He intently looking around my main living space, taking in every detail. “You have a nice place.” He says. “Thanks, it’s kind of messy though.” I say as I quickly try to tidy up some things I hope he didn’t notice. “No, it’s great.” His voice fades as he turns the corner. All of a sudden I hear, “No way!” In my fear I turn the corner as well and see him basically drooling over my piano. “This is a beauty.” He starts and then turns to me. “Where’d you get it?” He asks, stroking the keys. “I got it as a birthday present when I graduated. So really you can say it was a birthday/graduation present.” Shawn doesn’t even responds. He’s too focused on the piano. “Do you mind if I play something?” He asks without looking my way. “Sure, that’s what you came here for, isn’t it.” He proceeds to play a song that I can’t recognize and when he’s done, he just sits there staring. He doesn’t move. I slowly walk up to him and put a hand on his shoulder. “Shawn, are you ok?” He nods his head. “I’m perfect. This piano is beautiful.” I giggle a bit and that’s when he turns his head and smiles. “Now, are you ready to make some music?” - Hey!
