The World Health Organisation classifies M.E as a neurological condition, NOT a psychological one, and says that “the symptoms can be as disabling as multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis & congestive heart failure”. . In spite of this, the only treatment currently being offered is CBT and antidepressants ‍♀️. Started my morning with a shout of praise to God, for He brings VICTORY ⁣⁣ ⠀⠀⁣⁣ Leading up to my surgery, rainy days were one of my biggest enemies. They would leave me laying on the couch with a pounding headache + little to no motivation. I would say no to going out with friends (not like me!) and find zero energy to go to the gym. ⁣⁣ ⠀⠀⁣⁣ This morning, I woke up feeling the best I have since surgery - maybe even better than I have in months - and guess what It was raining! I made it to London guys Nothing ever goes smoothly though does it? QE didn't hand over my meds. Pharmacy here closed so looks like I won't be getting my meds tonight QE said it arranged for my mum to stay with me...got here...no one was aware of that. My mum has had to travel 150 miles back home alone. She can't visit me everyday. So now alone in London on yet another ward. This ward is due to close for maintenance works on Thursday...so will be moved again! Also in a bay and not my own room, but I can't complain about that I guess. Just want to be home now. Been told they're gonna put me through lots of tests etc. Was bombarded with questions from autonomic nurses within 15mins of arriving on the ward. I'm shattered. Just wanna sleep.
