Just a preview of the sign that I’m making for @rrbuildings . This one will be a custom framed LED sign with acrylic and baltic birch plywood. On this video I am assembling a small portion of the sign. This will have a lot of detail. Unlike the first sign, this one will have a lot of negative space where the lighting will shine through the logo design. So far, this one has been interesting! So as you know I don’t know a lot about the cnc yet, but I will say that my first test run on my friend’s logo was a success! @rgrstudio I will share finished shot later, but since today is #woodshavingwednesday I wanted to show you this bit that I used for all the shavings. . . I’ve seen a few others raving about the @amanatool blue “spektra” bits from @toolstoday so I knew I wanted to get one and have it ready for my first cut. I don’t know if CNC jobs usually run this smoothly, but wow.. zero tearout! I had a 1/4 cutter for the RGR logo and 1/8 cutter for the STUDIO. Swipe to see them both in action! Now the question is, how long do cnc bits last or cut this smoothly!? ‍♂️ . . Also, am I supposed to have the router all the way down inside that metal sleeve like in my videos or do you raise it and tighten it higher?
