Warsaw 1999 // Poland here I come! Kraków Poland 1999 // All the groovy public teplephones I met during my trips to Poland and Eastern Europe in the 1990s are to blame/thank for my subsequent life-long obsession — like this row of blue beauties from Nowa Huta, the communist-era utopian workers suburb on the outskirts of Kraków. Anybody know if any of these “pod phones” are left on the streets of Poland? (I’m not holding my breath...)
