This morning I dropped my dogs off in doggy daycare for the first time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Long story, short: The dogs have been staying with my in laws while I renovate my house and they’ve gone on holidays for a week so its been lovely having them “home” (even if half my home is demolished!)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Anyway - I want to talk about the process of looking for a doggy day care place because it was a nice reminder to not forget about your online presence (not just social media) and also other forms of marketing.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My buying process:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ▪️ Started with Google and looking at websites of a couple of places nearby.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ▪️ I searched “dog daycare” in a Facebook Group I’m a member of.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ▪️ I checked out the Facebook pages of two businesses I shortlisted.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ▪️ I finally called the place I had placed Halle in when she was a puppy (that I used a free voucher for from puppy school).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lessons learnt:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ▪️ Your website should be easy to navigate and find resources⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ▪️ Don’t forget about testimonials and reviews (both on your website, Facebook page and Google reviews)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ▪️ Think about your potential⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Customer and when they want to engage your business/ buy from you. In this case the place I booked them in with ( @hairyhoundsplayground) had included a voucher in a local puppy school graduation bag - which worked well for me and saved time filling in paper work and visiting potential places this time!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ▪️ Collaborate with other businesses to expand your reach.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This process was a nice little reminder for me as a customer and marketer. ✌️ Happy Monday!

//WORKSPACE⁣ ⁣ If you’ve migrated over here from Barnu, you’ll know how much I value keeping my spaces separate. In the BOG (aka brain-of-georgia) desk = work, and room = sleep. Having the two in one space is just a ‘no can do’ for BOG ⁣ ⁣ An old therapist of mine was the first person to introduce me to the art of keeping things separate. It only took me 4ish years to take her advice (oops..) but as of last night, I’m happy to announce that ULTIMATE SEPARATION OF SPACE HAS BEEN ACHIEVED! ⁣ ⁣ I had a lightbulb moment at 10pm and decided that it would be a great time to drag my desk and everything ‘work-y’ out into the living room ⁣ It may seem like a teeny tiny change, but I sweeaaarrr I’ve already seen an increase in my productivity ⁣ ⁣ How about you guys…do you like keeping your spaces separate? ‍♀️
