Seriously, we checked, and it is OK to not drink. It's actually more than OK; it can be amazing to discover what you're capable of when your head is clear. But doesn't it sometimes feel like the message from our surroundings is that everyone drinks all the time, and you're the odd one out for choosing not to? We believe it's ok to not drink, whether it's in general, or even just at a party. We laid out a few more of our beliefs in our latest blog post here: https://www.drinkershelper.com/new-blog #sobrietyrocks #soberlife #doitforyou #sistersinsobriety #livingsober #teetotaler #alcoholfree #soberaf #grayareadrinking #grayareadrinker #soberfun #sobercurious #soberlifestyle #soberliving #nonalcoholic #alcoholicsanonymous #instasober #sobernation #partysober #soberparty #soberpartying #partyingsober #sobercommunity

A little #throwbackthursday action✨ I went from the girl on the left unhappy, feeling stuck, frustrated working a job I hated, living less than pay check to pay check, no college degree, background in fitness or doing anything other than retail. I was constantly struggling with anxiety/depression. Self conscious. Worried about what other people thought. Just feeling stuck on a path I didn't want. But I was on the cusp of CHANGE. I decided I wanted MORE out of life. I decided I was over letting my past dictate my future. I was more than the partying, struggling, unhappy girl I felt like. My mistakes, my past they don't define ME. They don't define my present or my future. I knew there was more out there for me than feeling depressed, frustrated, getting high & feeling like life was happening to me, not for me. Now 26 turning 27 this month! I have a life that I have created because I said YES to a opportunity that has literally changed EVERY SINGLE AREA of my life including physically, emotionally, mentally & financially firing my boss + becoming a FT coach at 22. It's still just the beginning because I've got a big vision I'm working for Heres the deal...If I CAN do this someone has no college degree, no fitness background before coaching, spent 4 years working retail living pay check to pay check, unorganized & a bit of a spaz (If you know me this is true ) YOU CAN TOO. What you do NEED A love for health & fitness, start or continue your fitness journey as well as be willing to share it with others, a passion for helping others, willing to get outside your comfort zone, create your own hours, be teachable, work on becoming your best self, be self motivated & be seriously willing to WORK for your dreams!! I'm looking for 10 like minded women to mentor this month who are ready to do this thing called life WITH ME. If you want to know about what I actually do, how I work from home + built my business on social media & how you can be apart of my LIVEINLOVE tribe ‍♀️❤️ Fill out the app in my bio! Remember you are the only one who can hold yourself girlfriend #glowup

17 Months Sober AF It hasnt been easy, but with my toolbox of recovery tools, I've been successful. I mean, it hasnt been pretty, but progress never is! . What's in your sobriety toolbox? Because, I'm not shy about my participation in AA, but I also have a slew of other things that I believe are instrumental in my sobriety. . Kris' Sobriety Toolbox . Sober friends - they do things that don't involve alcohol, new for me! . Therapy - where I can get a fresh take on things from a licensed professional . Psychiatrist - where I have a mental health specialist making sure I'm on the right medications to reduce panic attacks and anxiety without the use of Xanax, and increase daily functioning without the use of stimulants . My Tribe - you guys . ‍A Sponsor - she guides me and listens and directs when necessary . ‍Service Work - giving back is something that helps me get out of my own head; it takes my mind off things and provides joy to someone else. . Education - books, blogs, podcasts .. I'm a sponge for information!! My favorite sobriety book is "Living Sober" . Daily Check-ins - I check in with someone sober every single day . Meditation - most mornings, whenever I'm anxious, and ALWAYS before a difficult situation . Ask for help - also known as an ego check. . A Plan - my options when I feel stuck, like a bath, a walk, a cry, journaling, a movie... . . Help someone else by sharing what is in your toolbox!⬇️⬇️ . . . . #sober #soberaf #soberissexy #sobermovement #soberliving #sobrietygangster #retiredblackoutartist #staysober #soberisbetter #happytoday #onedayatatime #soberjourney #mysoberjourney #myhealthjourney #sobriety #girlsinglasses #blondechick #soberblonde #soberchick #onedayatatime #supportsystem #odaat #aa #copingskills #sobertribe

I hadn’t really thought about it but I’m still SO new and I cannot even imagine how much more Of myself i get to discover in this program. I don’t have the obsession anymore! How much time do you have and how are you feeling?! Check in below

Addiction kills. And for many it’s either sobriety or death. Sobriety will never be a fad or a trend to me. Without a doubt in my mind I know that if I treated my recovery as a trend and I was to have one sip of alcohol there would be no turning back and I would die. Because to be honest I don’t know if I have another recovery in me. #sobrietyislife #wedorecover • • • • #recoveryquotes #gratitude #onedayatatime #soberliving #alcoholicsanonymous #dallasblogger #addiction #alcoholism #alcoholfree #sobriety #soberaf #selflove #soberlife #soberissexy #sobermovement #sobrietyrocks #thesoberstyle

Today I’m celebrating 6 years of alcohol-free living. Six YEARS! I’m so pleased that back in April 2013, I paid attention to that little voice in my head that had been wondering whether I’d be happier sober. Initially, my plan was to stop for 100 days as an experiment. I promised myself I’d give it my all and see how I felt afterwards. Back then, I had no idea I’d fall in love with this alcohol-free lifestyle. It’s hard to measure the impact sobriety has had on my life over the past 6 years, but in today’s blog I try really hard to do just that! I decided to get out my calculator and work out a few key stats… and the results are pretty mind blowing, if I do say so myself! I’ve come to realise that the main enjoyment I actually got from drinking came from the rituals surrounding it. Popping a cork to mark a celebration, pouring a perfectly chilled drink in to a beautiful glass, raising a toast amongst friends, the first sip marking new beginnings - the evening, the weekend, a holiday. The thought of these moments being taken away from me was the one thing that made me feel like I’d be missing out by not drinking alcohol. Until I realised that what I loved about them was more about the ritual and less about the booze. So I raise a toast to being fully present - cutting out alcohol doesn’t mean cutting out celebration! I’m really enjoying the selection of grown up soft drinks at @marksandspencer , what are your favourites?
