This gal never ceases to amaze me! She didn’t crawl until she was 18 months old, and her strength has multiplied in the month since then - we’ve caught her standing without holding onto anything several times in the past few days. She’s getting so strong at standing from sitting and she’s even beginning to take a few steps here and there. She works so stinkin’ hard to meet milestones that come so easily to other kids and never gives up. I love how she’s taught us to slow down and celebrate the tiny things! And mamas who are waiting and waiting for things to click for your little one, please know that they will and that the celebration is so much better when things take a little longer ❤️
I was listening to a podcast the other day about finding your why and sharing that with the world, and it dawned on me that w/ the multiple hats I wear (I do ❤️ me some hats) it might not be clear what my why is for sharing on Vagabond3 - besides my love for taking photos, sharing cool places we travel to, & connecting with friends. .
.
When I got pregnant the 1st thing so many people said to me was “wow, your lifestyle is about to change dramatically.” Sure they were excited for me, but there was always this kind of negative tone about the change. Having a child clearly meant putting some of their dreams on hold and definitely meant not traveling as much. To say it was deflating would be an understatement. As I continued to travel in my pregnancy - ⛰ ♀️ in Idaho, fly in Oregon, to NYC- I kept hearing the same ole tune everywhere. “Soak it up while you can. You won’t be able to do this in a few months” .
.
Maybe it’s because of all those negative Nancys that instead of staying put, I amped up my travel, & brought @kidaugustine on all the adventures. Travel did look different and there were a lot of helpers along the way- my “village” was a traveling village and they truly showed up all around the world. I see so many messages about being afraid to travel with kids and my goal is to tell you and show you that it’s not impossible.

On our last trip @kidaugustine packed her own bag, complete with red & & all the accessories. Turns out girlfriend likes to wear a lot of like her momma. To @visitokc we packed a ton of @tea_collection pieces that were perfect for summer days & a spirited little girl (the skirt with built in leggings- soo good!) She loves to help us plan our trips- likes to know where our rental car is & look at menus in advance and is always up for trying new things. This is all because we traveled with her from a young age & made traveling part of her routine. Don’t let the negative Nancy bum you out. I can help you every step of the way. The more you travel the more you understand people and cultures that are different from you, and hopefully that is what brings us all a lot closer. ❤️
