Woke up this morning & heard the rumble of cargo trains just as I did last evening. It's easily 100cars per train. This is oil country, as the folks here call it, Permian Basin oil country. So far, am enjoying the hospitality of Texans, & so far, it's as good as it gets. Walking San Francisco & Thinking Out Loud Getting tickets for the Alcatraz Island tour in the summertime is almost as bad as getting tickets for Hamilton. Walking San Francisco & Thinking Out Loud I started at the Gateway to Chinatown and zig zagged past my fave photo spots. I then walked up Columbus and took in 6 blocks of North Beach ending at Stockton where I took a bus into the Marina that dropped me 4 blocks from the Palace of Fine Arts (I walked 2 mi 3.2k for 45 minutes to Fort Point then up to the Golden Gate Bridge Plaza to take the 28 back to Van Ness & Northpoint. Right around 4 miles 6.5k. A MUNImobile day pass is $5.00. Single ride adult - $2.50, Seniors 65+ & youth 5 to 18 - $1.25. Uber share for 4 people is very close in price for this trip $10.00.
