It has been a few days since @londonsmamaforever shared that her sweet London passed away and I have been struggling to make sense of this magnitude of loss. . I do not know London or her family but they impacted me. I’ve been feeling grief for them and guilt for feeling joy of my own. It’s confusing to feel such sorrow for the loss of someone you have never met but I think that just shows what an impact London made in her short time here. . The most beneficial thing I think I can do right now is appreciate my children to the fullest. I’ve been more present and soaking up every inch of my boys. I’m breathing through the frustrating moments and acknowledging what an enormous blessing it is that my boys are here and healthy enough to sometimes frustrate me. . @londonsmamaforever, London will never be forgotten. Sometimes less is so much more. . I am fortunate for everything in my life. I have food, shelter, clean water, loving family, good health. My blessings are countless and my gratitude runs deep. . But I also have too much. . Too many toys. Too many dirty diapers. Too many clothes that don’t fit. Too many Tupperware containers, hair ties, sippy cups, piles of paper, and baskets of laundry. And TOO MUCH HAIR. . All these things are cluttering my space and mind, quietly dragging me down from the outside, in. . I made it out for a rare hair appointment and lobbed off 4 inches. I feel so much better. Lighter both figuratively and literally. I always feel better when I have less because there are fewer things to look at, think about and manage. .
