Official Screencaptures of Natalie as Eliza Merrett in the recently released biographical drama The Professor and the Madman (2019) -•- So after having this film downloaded for almost a month I finally found the time to watch it! My expectations of it weren’t neither high or low because the trailer simply didn’t reveal much in order to create an extensive opinion of it. - I have to admit that this movie was really really groundbreaking. The acting was absolutely convincing and you EASILY sympathized with all of them; ALL OF THEM. The cinematography AND soundtrack was beyond marvelous and ALWAYS fitting the corresponding atmospheres. I also really loved the role that Natalie portrayed. While her husband got assassinated (this is NOT a spoiler), a vulnerable woman was left alongside with her six children, barely being capable of feeding herself. We experience a fragile woman dragging herself out of her own misery - if not entirely by herself. She‘s doing what most people in this world will never be able to do: Forgive. Natalie herself loves to challenge herself to play vulnerable women and she absolutely nailed this role. - Without wanting to give the games away, I absolutely recommend you guys to watch it! A few nights ago, I watched the film “The Professor and the Madman” and this is the first film of the year that took me by surprise. It has been a long time since I saw Gibson in something that reminded me why he was a star. His return to the directors chair with “Hacksaw Ridge” was welcomed return but he hadn’t starred in anything that showed the depth I know he is capable of delivering. He found himself lost in a multitude of VOD action movies, that were entertaining but pretty run of the mill. He has been fighting his was back from the blacklist of Hollywood but talent like his can’t be buried for long. I have been missing the Gibson of old, where he gave us incredible stories like “The Man Without A Face” and “Braveheart.” Films where the pain he wore on face punched you in the gut and pulled the empathy from his audience. Mel is one of the greats and with “The Professor and the Madman” I was reminded why. This is an incredible story and I have no idea how it has not been made into a movie before. The subject matter could be considered boring seeing as how it is the story of the creation of the Oxford English Dictionary. This sounds like the premise for a painful documentary your teacher would have shown you in middle school but the true story and the characters involved are incredibly interesting. This is not a perfect film, it has some flaws but none that took away from my enjoyment of the story. I started the film lazily watching, phone in hand, expecting a mediocre film but after about 10 mins I realized this is something I need to devote my attention to. Sözlük hazirlanmaya başlandıktan tam 70 yıl sonra tamamlanarak basılmış ve hala daha güncellenmeye devam ediyor.
