Selected artists for #TSV_ZINE on 'Self-Reflections': Niela Lis @niela.lis & Gabriela Gibek @rosestarred For our first edition of the TSV_ZINE we've selected one collaborative duo of two very young emerging talents. At the age of only 17 Niela and Gabriela, originally from Poland, are currently based in UK and very much into photography. Niela a self-portrait and conceptual photographer uses her photography, a mix of film and digital, to express elusive feelings, hard to identify, name and analize, meant to stay wordless and unadulterated. 'Photography happened to be a language much more precise in reflecting my inner world than any other. It allows me to feel, without questioning and analyzing. I experience kind of a melancholic trance in which you become completely absorbed in vivid sensory details. There's a beautiful stillness that surrounds you when you're completely immersed in the process of creating. The moment before I press the shutter I hold my breath and gradually feel my body falling loose, shaking free of the real world.' (Niela Lis) Gabriela, is non-binary blog writer and portrait photographer that has a very poetic approach to photography. Their self-portrait tell their life stories, the ups and downs and are combined with deep mindful captions. We are happy to have those two on board for our photo zine.
