I think it’s ok to have bad days and feel upset/ anxious/ disappointed/ etc as long as you don’t stay stuck with those feelings forever.
•
Some days are just super shitty so I acknowledge it, feel the feelings, and move on!
•
It rained here today and the pressure in the air was so crazy that I could feel it in my whole body. But.... at least the rain cooled the temperature down drastically!!!!!

It seems a lot of people are having flare ups today, so I want to remind you that your illness is not your fault. You can do everything 'right' and still be sick. You are not a burden, you have a burden. You're fighting a battle many people will never have to endure and will never understand, so in case no one has told you today: you're doing amazingly and I'm so damn proud of you.
I was up early this morning so I went and got my bloodwork done and then treated myself to Starbucks!

Anyone else like to drive with their foot sticking out of the window? ♀️

Medical records much
That is actually 2 copies of them but still
My mom had the ones in the thicker box over nighted to Mayo so they will be calling her sometime tomorrow
More of what I was talking about yesterday. I have been in denial that my arms feel like they weigh 100 lbs each and that my walking has been getting worse
My arms feel super heavy. They don’t have that much worse feeling than they did before going on vacation but it just takes so much more effort to move them and they just want to dangle next to me like wind chimes
As for my walking, I really haven’t done much walking because I have been sleeping so much and have been feeling extra the past few days. I pointed it out to my mom one night when it was happening, is that my legs partially giving out is no longer happening sporadically. It now will be every step (my knee jets forward like a ghost has kicked the back of it) and then I will sit for a while and when I stand up some times it is better and sometimes it is not
Besides all of the physical stuff, i have not been in too great of a place mentally. I’m so tired of pain and my body fighting me and all my doctors looking at me like ♀️ and “see you again in 3 months”
But why. 3 months ago things were better than they are now (no eye shaking, no legs giving out, more arm function, more coordinated swallow, etc) and if/when we don’t do anything to stop this progression, in 3 months things will be worse. That is kind of how things work
Something that I am not so excited about is that I have a dentist appointment tomorrow
This morning my mom had her appointment and they said I hadn’t been in in a while & then when she was checking out someone called and canceled for tomorrow. Since she was standing there that appointment magically became mine
It has probably been a year and a half since I have gone to the dentist (I put it off as long as possible - I HATE people putting things in my mouth - especially uninvited things)
It was supposed to be with someone new but they switched it so everyone still has all of their fingers (i have bitten a person in the past and it was horrible for everyone in the building)
"My name is Kellie (@thatendogoddess). I was told that my incurable & debilitating chronic illness was just a bad period. I have Endometriosis, which affects my life every single day. I can go from being perfectly fine to needing to call an ambulance to get me off the floor in the space of an hour. Endo is unpredictable, it’s emotionally, physically & mentally exhausting. I try not to let it rule my life, but it’s a constant struggle when everything I do depends on how bad my endo is that day.

Living with an invisible illness is an endless battle against society because you’re continually told you don’t look sick. People often underestimate you living, but they don’t see the paralyzing cramps, chronic fatigue, anxiety, stress, tears, bowel & bladder complications, vomiting on the side of the road, crying on the shower floor, extreme bloating, blood clots, ruptured cysts, anxiety about conceiving, miscarriages, relationship stress, back pain, cramping organs, ambulance rides, hospital stays, invasive medical procedures, medical bills, burns from heat packs, or scars from surgeries.” To read the rest of Kellie's story, click link in bio or visit www.yoocanfind.com #chronicillness #spoonie #spoonielife #Endometriosis #invisibleillness #endo #endosisters #fuckendo #endometriosisawareness #pcos #polycysticovariansyndrome #chronicpain #periodproblems #anxiety #pelvicpain #endobelly #spoonielove #girlssupportinggirls #girlgang #bossbabe #periodpain #infertility #everydayhealth #uterus #ovaries #thespooniesisterhood #womenshealth #instagood #tbt #photoofheday
I am terrified that I won’t fly again.
.
My neck has been getting worse, as have my headaches, random dizzy spells, and sensations of pressure in my head.
.
Hitting a pothole while driving can be agony. Tripping over a sidewalk crack while walking can give me a 3-day-long headache increase. Bending down to the bottom shelf of the fridge can send me almost to the floor.
.
So how can I even dream of climbing 20 feet up to the top of silks, hanging upside down while setting up a move, then letting go and completing a drop?
.
And yet I do. I dream. Awake, I dream of aerial. Asleep, my nightmares reflect the stress and fear that my neck may be as bad as it feels. But awake, with my eyes closed, laying in bed in those moments of attempted peace while I try to convince myself I am comfortable, I dream of flying. I dance through the air and sore in the sky.
.
So I know I will work hard and do what I need to do to get back up in the air. And if I have truly reached the end of my aerial life, I will find new passions and new ways to bring about my beloved feeling of flying. I don’t like it. But I guess that’s what flying through it is all about.

Absolutely in LOVE with my new active wear from @stronger #ad !
-
Staying fit and active is a huge part of my life - for both my mental and physical wellbeing.
Working out doesn’t need to be a chore or something you dread doing. Start small - maybe trying walking to work/the grocery store or choose to take the stairs instead of the elevator/escalator.⚡️ There are little things you can do everyday to stay active.
I don’t care how busy you think you are... YOU can spare 10 minutes out of your day to do some sit-ups or push ups or go on a walk. Just do something!
Put some music on and dance around your room or try a workout class with a friend! Make it fun!✨ Use code “20MAGGIE” for 20% off! xx #strongersweden
