As I printed them 23years ago and in contrast, how I scanned and worked the negs yesterday. Which do you prefer? It used to be that my mood would reflect how I printed: now it seems I do the same with post production. nick had been reading a heavy book like ‘the case for humanity in Christianity’ (or similar) and we didn’t really speak much. In my head I had it that I didn’t get very much variety but revisiting the negs, all 40 frames are different: nick obviously understands about “the more you give the more you get” in photos (and life) just like #tomwaits and @marilynmanson amongst others. I’ll post a bumper load of never seen before #nickcave pictures from that shoot here next because I haven’t really got anywhere else to place them just now. Neil Young- Out On the Weekend. Neil Young sings of a longing for love on this Harvest number, which he recorded at Nashville's Quadrafonic Sound Studio's in April 1971. He laid it down with a group of country session musicians, which he christened the Stray Gators. The songs on the Harvest album often shift perspective and vary in degree of melancholy, making them difficult to grasp at times. Young offered some insight on this song when he explained in the book Zero To Sixty that this song isn't necessarily a sad one, as the singer is disguising his happiness. Regarding the lines: Can't relate to joy He tries to speak and Can't begin to say Young said: "That just means that I'm happy so that I can't get it all out. But... the way I wrote it sounds sad."
