#TuesdayInspiration "You Cannot Out Run Truth" I don't care how long you run. How much you evade it. How many times you turn away from it; You will NEVER be able to outrun the truth. The truth will always come to collect what it's due. Oh, sure! We can lie. We can convince ourselves that a lie is a truth. We can even create a whole new life for ourselves based on a series of carefully constructed lies. However, when all is said and done; truth will eventually come knocking on your door, handing you a bill that says: Payment Due, Only Cash Accepted. That's right. No charging it. No checks. No wires. Far too many of us are running from ourselves. We are running from our past. We are running from our pain. We are just running from the truth because sometimes the truth can be painful to confront or to handle. Don't you owe it to yourself to live in truth? Do you really want to be constantly looking over your shoulder, wondering when your house of lies will crumble? Aren't you tired of holding on to all that hurt and pain and suffering; acting like it didn't happen? Too afraid to confront the truth that hurt you? Beloveds, let all that go! Tell the truth. Face the truth. Embrace the truth. And free yourself while doing so. We run and we run and we run whether it is to evade, hide from the pain, or to cover up our own actions. So....I'm on a HUGE podcast kick right now and have been listening to tons of content from Gary Vee - anyone that doesn't know him or his content, he is an incredibly passionate entrepreneur that has a no BS style and preaches how to grow your business through social media along with ton of other content around mindset, passion and the life of being an entrepreneur. The passion of the process of being an entrepreneur, building your business and focusing on the long term gain and prosperity, not just short term. I felt so compelled to share this, because being an entrepreneur has changed my life forever. I am happier than I've ever been, more passionate in my work and fascinated with the process of growing my businesses. Building my companies is not only a passion, but its also my hobby. I am really disappointed, disturbed, and surprised that ALL the rules of business growth for the last hundred years are being ignored and thrown out the window. If you run a business, you clearly want to grow year after year. If you are an investor, you obviously want a return on your money. In NO WAY, shape, or form, will this happen because you watched a webinar, signed up for a “millionaire booklet” or signed up for a weekend seminar teaching you to get rich quick. According to Forbes, Entrepreneur, Inc., and any other sane and successful business person/advisor, your goal should be to grow by 20% per year. If you’re absolutely killing it, you may be able to double. STOP getting sucked in, manipulated, and completely bamboozled by “experts” telling you that you can 10X your income or Double Your Sales in 30 days. It takes time, dedication, commitment, hard work, relationships, and purpose to have success and even then, it may take longer than you think. Someone has to tell it like it is, someone who’s not selling dreams and bullshit stories to you, someone who’s not trying to sell you trinkets and hats with their slogans on it. If you grow by 20% per year, which any successful business owner would jump at, you’ll double in five years. Last time I checked, that was pretty damn good.
