Happy Sunday everyone! We’re prepping for my dad’s birthday lunch today so I’ll share the menu over on stories. Let me know if you’ve got any plans involving food, I’d love to know what’s on your menu! On another note, this beautiful Tudor home has so many original features to feast your eyes on. From the exposed beams to the uneven flagstone floor, this kitchen oozes rugged charm and is just waiting for a party of its own.

What's your dream home? A slightly wonky tudor cottage or a towering castle looming over the countryside? 1 or 2? Comment below! Both of these super shots are by @lee_collyer
The first shot is from Evesham - a market town in the Wychavon district of Worcestershire. Try saying that whilst scoffing on an Eccles cake. Close by is what's left of Evesham Abbey which was founded by Saint Egwin, the third Bishop of Worcester, in around 701 AD. During the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 1500s, the abbey was plundered and demolished. Only the bell tower survives. Sigh. I mentioned a few days ago how I like a good moan about Henry VIII and here is another example why!
The second shot features the "Saxon" looking Broadway Tower, which was the brainchild of Capability Brown and built for Lady Coventry in 1798–99. The tower was constructed on a beacon hill, where beacons were lit on special occasions. Lady Coventry wondered whether a beacon on this hill could be seen from her house in Worcester (as you do) — about 22 miles away — and sponsored the construction of the folly to find out. And by 'eck - it worked! You can visit today and enjoy the views from the tower and nibble on a teacake in the cafe too
