One of my biggest downfalls is that I am extremely hard on myself. Following the birth of our beautiful daughter has been a rollercoaster of emotions. I have had days where I am overwhelmed with how much work I need to do in order to get back into shape, how I thought my recovery would be so much quicker and I would be back in the gym in no time. The reality is, it has only been 18 days since I was in a long 32 hour labour and I have already healed a great deal in such a short space of time. As women we are designed for this and I have total trust in my body that it will do what it was meant for. I look at myself now and although it is not the tummy I am used to I am proud of what my body has done and the tiny human it has created. For 39 weeks it nourished and grew the most precious person in our lives and for that, I am so grateful. 06 / 06 / 2019 Golden Hour. I went for a barbeque to Tynemouth this Thursday with some of my coursemates, we had a great time just chilling and played a few ball games. The tide receded after 6.30pm, and since it's summer, golden hour came a bit later then usual. The wet sands flattened out by the waves reflected the rays of the sun quite nicely, making the long unbroken shadows possible. Quite happy with this shot actually, a few people in the shot are braced and ready to catch the ball, captured in the moment of action. The setting sun was behind the person in the middle, creating a halo effect around their silhouette.
