Spent sommtime at the Beverage Trade Network's @USATradeTasting and Alcohol Beverage Importers and Distributors (ABID) conference this week. Sat in on a few seminars, including a "Future Sommelier Session," where panelists gave their perspectives on the subject and "Authenticity as a Point of Differentiation," where have you heard that before? Tasted a few impressive wines from Spain. Fun stop at this French importer @grafelecocq1879 table where I tasted wines from Rhone, Burgundy and the Languedoc regions of France. Got a kick out of the label on this bottle, "Plan de Dieu." Reminded me of @champagnepapi Drake's song, "God's Plan," although the literal translation is somewhat different Ever tried Romanian wine from Moldova? Really good Rose' from Purcari! And can you say "Zghihara?" It's a white grape that is indigenous to Moldova - really fresh with great acidity, tastes similar to Albarino or a cross between Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling.
