OMG Finally tried elephant garden creamery and it definitely lives up to the hype.I've never been to an icecream shop where I liked more than half the flavors on the menu and wanted to get them all!! It was hard just choosing one so I got the flight instead!! My personal favourite was the mango sticky rice, but all the unique flavors are amazing!! Right now they have joined the craze and are serving the white rabbit flavor!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND @elephantgardencreamery .
.
Rating: .5, the only cavity is I like the texture and consistency of earnest icecream more but elephant creamery has all those unique Asian flavors .

Thanks for the invite @baguette_me . I seriously ❤️ meeting owners that are truly passionate and respect the art of their trade. One of two places in SoCal that approaches bread making they way they do. Their bakers have 30+ years of experience and oooo man you can taste the difference. So many layers My favorites were the Chicken #banhmi , the Vietnamese Slow Drip Coffee and the Apricot custard croissant was next level! Extra brownie points for being #gameofthrones lovers and naming their son Arya!! .

[Travel eats - Hanoi] Aside from Bún chả, another must-try during a visit to Hanoi is their famous egg coffee. While there are many places that serves this specialty, you simply have to try it @cafegiang , which was opened by the person who invented it! Funny enough, being so touristy appeared to have helped them keep prices low! I have noticed other places charge a lot more (25K VND vs 35K and up at other places)
.
Egg coffee was invented from a milk shortage back in the day during the French War, but people still wanted to have their coffee fix with milk. With eggs being very plentiful, Nguyen van Giang invented the egg foam to replace milk froth, and needless to say it became a big hit!
.
The egg foam is kind of like a sweet foamy light custard, and tastes like a dessert by itself. The best way to drink egg coffee would be to have a little taste of the egg foam first, then mix it with the coffee afterwards....so smooth and delicious
