Thoughts on Ant-Man and the Wasp Road to Endgame! Kind of like Guardians Vol. 2, this feels like a retread of the first one. Maybe a little more so. It’s still enjoyable but I wish they did something new and unique. I love the characters and the actors that portray them, just want to see them in really dangerous, high risk situations. The villains are very forgettable unfortunately. Ghost had high potential. Samuel L. Jackson and James Parks in The Hateful Eight (2015). The eighth film by Quentin Tarantino. The Hateful Eight is my second favorite film from 2015. With The Revenant as my number one favorite from that year. I seriously love this film so much. I’ve talked about The Hateful Eight a lot on my account in the past. I know that this film wasn’t liked by many but for me, coming from someone who loves Quentin Tarantino’s work, The Hateful Eight showcases why Quentin Tarantino is a master at crafting his classic razor-sharp dialogue and telling compelling stories all throughout his filmography, including this film especially. The Hateful Eight has been described as a Reservoir Dogs gone western type film which I can see that. It takes place entirely in one location. Once our characters arrive at Minnie’s Haberdashery, all hell breaks loose and man the way Tarantino tells this story is absolutely fun to watch. With a screenplay that’s filled with tension and plenty of twists and turns not to forget to mention plenty of dialogue-heavy scenes that I admire so much about this film. Along with the rest of Tarantino’s work. The stunning cinematography by Robert Richardson and most importantly, the score by Ennio Morricone which he won his first Oscar. That shocks me the most. I can’t believe he hasn’t won any Oscars before The Hateful Eight. The fact that this film includes unused music from John Carpenter’s The Thing is fucking amazing. The film score plays a major part in this film. It adds even more tension and making us feel unease while watching this film. I cannot wait to see what Tarantino has in stores next with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
