Anyone else need a good laugh today? TGIF doesn’t even come close to how happy I am to be at the end of my work week. This week has been challenging to say the least. The Planner’s Lounge website was hacked which caused it to be up and down (mostly down) for 3+ days. When your whole business is based on a website and blog, it is extremely stressful when it isn’t working - no sales, no new email subscribers, no new inquiries, huge loss of traffic, ads do not run, etc. I pay for an annual plan for monitoring and malware repair services but it still takes time to get everything back to working order. (Thanks @sucurisecurity) ⚡️ Thank you all for your patience this week if you tried to access the website. It’s now clean, malware free, and running well. So. Let’s talk about last Friday. Possibly the most ‘hang on a minute - WHAT?’ moment for me & Ink & Thimble so far. No, not possibly - definitely. When I first started out, in fact when the idea for this creative business was just bubbling away somewhere in the JB brain, I had two two big creative goals. Embroider onto a wedding dress, & learn how to embroider somebody’s handwriting to create stitched love letters. These were my TEN year goals. TEN. One year on, on Friday the 5th of July (also my Daddio's b’day, but he doesn’t have a smart phone so this is all about me), I dropped off an embroidered wedding top & then I posted off an embroidered letter. I think when you’re busy and you’re trying to get 20 things done at once, it’s not easy to step back and go woah - what is actually happening in my life. It really hit me on Friday that I’d come this far, and I’m really proud of it. SO, Friday the 5th 2019 - I owe this glorious day to two wonderful women @amy_mair_couture & @rachel_burgess_bridal_boutique who supported and trusted me to embroider this wonderful top above, made immaculately by Amy & housed in it’s spiritual home by dream host Rachel, and the wonderful human being who commissioned the most beautiful meaningful gift - you know who you are, & I’m just privileged, & so utterly stoked you chose me…oh and dad you’re alright too mate. ✨

You probably all get a little sick of seeing our mugs on here all the time, but yesterday marked our first 12 months in biz so here they are yet again ‍(ps. probably won’t be the last, sorry!). Without sounding like a broken record, I AM SO PROUD OF US. We made it! We have so many people to thank for our last 12 months of success: Van Dan founders Dan & Mil for all their help in the beginning; our beautiful clients that make all the hard work so worth it; the amazing local wedding vendors that have embraced us with open arms; the venues that put their trust in us week in week out; our supportive families that work tirelessly for us behind the scenes and give up their weekends to help out; and our very patient friends that have allowed us to put our social lives on hold (we still love you!). The biggest thanks goes to that handsome guy next to me. Thanks for all your sacrifices Moo. I couldn’t do this without you. You work 7 days a week so that I can pursue my dreams and if that ain’t love, I don’t know what is.
