Our country is beautiful! We have magnificent mountains, wonderful rainforests and beautiful beaches. Unfortunately these wonders are not spared from the presence of rubbish. Fortunately, we have many passionate and responsible communities who work tirelessly in preserving the beauty of our wonders. Thanks for the wonderful event at Lanjut Beach Resort, Pahang @alamflorasdnbhd @lanjutbeach_golfresort @swcorp_my and fellow organisers!

“HEYYY YOU GUYYYS!” aka: that #FriYAY feeling . #FridayFact: Just a few years ago, the Bronx Zoo made conservation history by being the first zoo to successfully hatch Chinese yellow-headed box turtles. This little bae is more than just a cute face; it is important to the survival of its species. Nearly hunted to extinction for food and eastern medicine, these turtles are considered critically endangered. Less than 150 remain in the wild. #thepursuitofscience #zoosmatter #westandforwildlife

Wednesday face, Wednesday feels. Giraffe portrait for #WorldGiraffeDay, Bronx Zoo. #westandforwildlife #thepursuitofscience . Fun facts: Giraffes were once called long necked camel leopards - in fact, their scientific name is Giraffa camelopardis. They are the tallest living terrestrial animal. Consider, though, that giraffes and humans have the same amount of vertebrae in their necks - seven! (Actually, all mammals have the same number of neck vertebrae, but the difference in size in this case is still pretty remarkable.) . Not so fun facts: giraffes are completely gone from some of their native countries (also known as extirpation), and populations are in a downward trend. There are nine subspecies of giraffes, and two of them - the Rothschild and the West African - are endangered. Habitat loss and poaching are the main threats to wild giraffes.
