Finally got some sunny weather in England so I can rock my new Demeter dress. I’m in love with the oversized style of it, super relaxed and comfy. Did I mention it has pockets!! I was so pleased to be asked by @annaallenclothing to help with the pattern testing, I didn’t realise how much work goes into making a new pattern! Just wanted to share my super neat stitching and my successful bias binding. Now if the weather would cheer up a bit I could actually wear it!!

This week I have been testing the Demeter dress pattern for @annaallenclothing I think I’m in love... Here’s a sneak peak at the finished dress...as I was following a modern pattern for the first time in years I had to do a few techniques that I normally bypass, like bias binding. And just generally being neat

Garden pickings! With so many juicy rasperries growing in the garden I just had to make Raspberry Ripple cake! Recipe from @thepinkwhisk and of course the flowers are home grown too!

Just popped a tutorial on my stories (saved it to 'macrame leaf' highlight too) if you fancied knowing how to make a macrame leaf/feather. Please tag me if you try it so I can see and share ➰ - If you wanted a cheese plant leaf, just shape it that way before adding the backing and remember to cut holes in the backing to match the leaf White and natural cotton rope used and is also linked in my highlight - I did the cheese plant leaf in white first, then realised natural might be better to match the other accessories in the room, so the leaf/feather was born (there's better pics of that on my stories, it does look a little crap in the 3rd pic, it wasn't finished then) These I did as little experiments as I'm planning a giant one for the lounge wall, maybe even above the sofa. - So which should I do? A giant cheese plant leaf or leaf/feather? And in the natural or white rope?

Another recent make...this time a Mondrian mini. Should all my clothes be based around artists? I’ve had this fabric in my cupboard for years and it’s actually canvasy cotton from @ikeauk and the buttons are vintage from a little shop in Greece that looked like it hadn’t changed in 50 years. My new fave summer skirt ▪️
