We take great pride in knowing each animal, personality quirks as well as health issues...we care for them like family members. . Teagan came to me from a wonderful farm @bohemiancreekfarm . She was struggling there a little only because she was the bottom of the herd...much like Daphne. Her farm Mom wanted what was best for her and we connected. I can’t begin to explain how well she has done here...there is the top pack of three goats...Calypso, Licorice, and TEAGAN! They run around, dance and play...it’s been amazing to watch her flourish with a new family! . I have SO many things to point out with this post. 1) small farms are amazing to their critters. 2) Fiber animals are well loved and looked after..3) We know our animals so well..we know what’s best...4) small farm networks are AMAZING at finding the best homes possible for all animals. 5) There is no harm in shearing...they really REALLY need/want our help in getting it off. . I really deliberated about posting shearing out here...but guys...this is my life! It was a celebration of Spring. I wish I had filmed them all running around afterwards...they are so much happier! The goats get sheared twice a year...sheep once per year..it takes a LONG time to start a fiber farm...so glad to have this bountiful harvest.
