2019 USS Nationals Event 2: Wagon Wheel Axle Deadlift Weight: 350lbs As many reps in 60secs Completed 4 for 3rd place I just had to hang on in this event and I did. 2019 USS Nationals Event 3: Sandbag/Sled Medley AKA someone glued my sled to the ground as a joke Weight: 170lb sandbag, 130lb sandbag, 300lb sled As fast as you can before time expires (75secs) And I didn’t complete the course because I swear someone thought it was April fools day and glued my sled to the floor But for real, I struggled with this. They say it takes a village and yesterday it certainly did. Dropped a weight class to 71kg/156.2# with the help of @patti_plt and @plt_nutritionandfitness , been putting in months of training with @intrepidgolden and @intrepid_sc_weightlifting at @intrepid_sc , and yesterday my sister in strength @alliewiseman set the bar high by taking home gold at the beginning of the day! I missed my first two snatches at 74kg and I was following myself so all I had was two minutes to make my last snatch at 75kg. Not an easy feat but my people knew I could do it so I had to show them that I could!! My successful Snatch at 75kg/165# and Clean and Jerk at 96kg/211.2# we’re both lifetime competition PRs and landed me at the top of the platform Congratulating and competing against the strong women in my session yesterday was the best part of my day! My family, coaches, teammates, and friends all helped me to make yesterday nothing short of epic. Thank you @murderofcrowsbarbellclub for an awesome meet. The only video I don’t have is of the sandbag medley where I had a terrible execution and slipped up. Happy with that top ten finish regardless!
