Bond. James Bond. In 1962 Sean Connery was introduced to the world as James Bond in a midnight blue shawl collar dinner suit in the movie “Dr. No”. The movie's director was Terence Young who also directed the second Bond movie “From Russia With Love” (1963) and the fourth movie Thunderball (1965). Young was a client of Conduit Street tailor Anthony Sinclair and asked him to make Sean Connery's suits which he continued to do so for all six Bond movies. I love the early Bond movies and especially “Dr. No” and “From Russia With Love” (1963) because there is no focus on gadgets and there is not yet a certain formula.
