For those who haven’t seen my story yet, last night my family and I were officially denied the ability to communicate with or visit with my 11 year old niece. In Detroit yesterday, I was able to spend approximately one hour with her during a SUPERVISED visit. As far as I know, “supervised” visits are reserved for ex-convicts and criminals. My older sister, the mother of my niece, has been battling this custody situation for years, and her maternal rights have slowly been chipped away. About 2 weeks ago, my sister was officially erased from the equation by the court’s decision, and completely denied ANY ability to communicate with her daughter AT ALL, or visit her daughter AT ALL. Again, these kind of verdicts are reserved strictly for abusive parents, or unfit parents, of which my sister is neither. Even drug addict mothers have more rights and access to their children than my sister does. And as of last night, the father and step-mother have extended that same exact verdict to ANY family on the Pompeo side. They are refusing us the right to communicate with our niece/granddaughter, and we can no longer visit her. This is not court ordered or mandated. We believe this is unfair and unjust, and WE NEED HELP. Please either share this post to your IG story, or go to my FB, and share the video that I posted there. Help me and my family give a voice to a beautiful, innocent 11-year-old who deserves love and affection from those who desire nothing more than to give it to her.
