Have you ever thought that part of going through life, is the people you surround yourself with . . We can’t go through our journey alone, we always need positive energy around us, and people encouraging us to keep moving forward. See, the problem that we tend to have is that we think that we can handle absolutely everything on our own. And let me tell you, that’s almost impossible.‍♀️♀️ . . We often think that we can be auto sufficient in everything, handling every obstacle on our own. What happens when you plant a tree? it just doesn’t grow from one day to another, a process needs to be taken for it to flourish. Good care, good environment, and special attention if we really want the tree to grow big and strong. . . That's how our journey in life is, we have ups and downs all the time, but that doesn’t mean we have to go through it alone. I'm a true believer that life is better if we share and let the people that surround us to help us with positive vibes, giving us the strength to keep walking our path. . . I thought we should invite interior design students to create an eclectic, vintage filled show home in Manchester to prove it can be done...and on a budget. On hearing this suggestion, she looked at me in a truly horrified manner, and simply said: “no we definitely can’t do that. Hi, friends! I just sent out a newsletter about our upcoming Composition Workshop! I’m so excited about this one . . . If you’ve taken mine or any intro to floral watercolor course, this course will launch off those techniques and teach you not only how to tighten up your floral skills, but expose the mystery behind how to put all those elements together in a way that flows and breathes. . The greatest joy of my career BY FAR, has not been creating beautiful art (the exception being my TWO humans), but PASSING ON my knowledge as a creator. As I’ve worked my way from 50 friends to nearly 50K, I have both been blessed by generous teachers willing to share their craft, and have also been met with the stunningly disappointing secrecy with which some operate behind their artistry. I get it! Many of us are sharing our livelihood here, and in order to be successful in “traditional” terms, it requires a certain amount of business acumen. That said, I’ve tried to share a gamut of knowledge through free process videos and classes, because nothing gives me greater pleasure than watching a student “get it” for the first time. It’s like watching a flower bloom, honestly, and it’s an HONOR I take pretty seriously. If you’ve taken any of my classes, I just want you to know how grateful I am you gave me the opportunity to share what I know and love with you. I only wish I could teleport more of you here to be with us in person as we work our way through these live workshops. I have HEARD your desire for this composition workshop to be put on film and I will do what I can to make that happen before this baby hatches.
