One of my favorite 2019 releases by far, the newest Floraiku is just stunning, if anyone has tried this beauty, you know what I’m talking about. THE MOUNTAIN STANDING STILL is fine perfumery, Unfolding on skin with a beautiful sweet floral black tea note paired to spices, not listed in the pyramid, but noticeable to my nose are ginger cardamon, incredibly well put together to further harmonize the essence of the tea. In the heart of the composition, patchouli and oud come to the forefront, this portion of the fragrance is mind blowing spectacular, the oud accord is smooth and creamy, with just a hint of funkiness giving the blend a certain mystery, and the patchouli comes across very sensual and contrasting with the oud, spices and tea. There’s a boozy element throughout the wearing that I can’t pinpoint, but it is fascinating. This one is powerful and super long lasting. Overall, THE MOUNTAIN STANDING STILL score a 10/10 in my books.
