Fairy Soda In previous posts, I have written about using local wild plants for their natural yeasts to use in fermentation. I read about this method through the books written by Pascal Bauder. I have been experimenting with new plants this Spring for their wild yeast content but continue to go back to my favorite: wild Spruce twigs. Fairy soda has so many possibilities that it is almost endless. Children love berries and the end result is nice and fizzy as well. You can experiment to come up with your own flavor profile. Here is my super simple recipe for naturally fermented Fairy Soda: -1/2 gallon Ball jar filled halfway with organic berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, etc- mash for better taste results) -Several wild Spruce twigs -A few handfuls of edible Wildflowers (I used Violets today) -3/4 cup organic raw honey or maple syrup -Enough Spring water to fill the jar a few inches from the top Instructions: (Make sure your ball jar and lid are very clean, including any utensils you may use. The idea here is that no unwanted bacteria get into your ferment.) Add all ingredients and shake until the sweetener is visibly dissolved. Within 1 day or less, you should start to see some active fermentation bubbling (I have included a picture for reference). Ferment 2-6 days (until it's nice and bubbly), shake & open the lid a few times a day to "burp" the gases, and taste each day. A bad smell is usually an indication of spoilage, but if you have bubbling and a good smell, you've generally got a good ferment. You can either strain and bottle to drink, or strain and let your soda continue to ferment a couple more days to become more bubbly. *If you have trouble getting your ferment to become as bubbly as you'd like, you can first create a "yeast starter" by taking a pint ball jar, add your Spruce twigs to spring water, and add enough honey so that the water tastes sweet. Let this sit for 2-3 days until visibly fermented (bubbling) and then add 3/4 cup to your Fairy Soda. Repost from @jenlm1026 | Endometriosis | ◌ In honor of my OBGYN confirming my endometriosis is healed!! Ladies this can heal period pains too! ◌ My story & how I healed: ◌ In 2014 I was diagnosed w/ endometriosis after having my right ovary removed from a large cyst that killed it ◌ We found the left side was covered in fibroids & a smaller cyst along w/ the endo. I’m not a candidate for surgery so the “remedy” for my excruciating pain, bloating, etc & to keep the fibroids & cyst under control (to not grow) was to consistently take my BC pill skipping my period. ◌ For 4+ years I skipped my period to keep things “under control”. Yet still visiting my OB several times a year in pain, always requiring a transvaginal ultrasound () to make sure my ovary wasn’t in danger. ◌ Last year, the 4 yr mark, I asked my Dr for alternative treatment options...I wasn’t feeling well from consuming high doses of hormones. He recommended a 3-step hormone plan (shots/pills/IUD)...I opted to stay w/ the current BC pill. ◌ Not long after this visit I was led to @medicalmedium & saw women were healing their endo, cysts, & fibroids (which are all the EBV virus) via celery juice, diet, & herbals. I liked this idea, & gave it a shot. ◌ • 16 oz celery juice every morning on an empty stomach • Removing ALL the NO foods • Raspberry leaf tea w/ Nettle & Red Clover daily • (Vitex & Rose Hips, also healing) ◌ Within 2 months I had FAITH I was ready to go off the pill. In the last 9 months I’ve had no discomfort or symptoms before or during my cycle, & experienced mild endo pain/symptoms 2x which didn’t even last! Yes those flare ups made me nervous!, so I upped my CJ & herbals having faith it’d pass ◌ At my annual last week my Dr was blown away when he did the exam! SO impressed, he became an instant believer in celery juice, saying he’ll be sharing this pearl w/ women who suffer from these conditions! His interest, belief, & desire to share the healing info touched my heart beyond belief!!! ◌ You too CAN HEAL!! INGREDIENTES Massa: 1 1/2 xic de #granola (poucos posts atrás ensinei como escolher uma #saudável de verdade) 1/2 xic de sementes de girassol triturada 2 col (sopa) de mel ou melado 2 col (sopa) de pasta de amendoim, de amêndoa ou de outra castanha que preferires pitada de sal Recheio: 1/4 de xic de pasta de amendoim, de amêndoas ou de outra castanha que preferires Cobertura: 1 barra (100g) de chocolate 70% cacau PREPARO: 1️⃣Misture todos os ingredientes da "massa" em uma tigela, com a ajuda das mãos até obter uma massa homogênea e levemente pegajosa.  2️⃣Distribua a massa em formas de cupcake, forrando o fundo e as laterais com a ajuda das costas de uma colher. Cuide para não fazer uma camada nem muito grossa, nem muito fina. 3️⃣Em seguida, preencha as formas já forradas de massa, com a pasta de castanhas/amendoim e leve ao freezer por 1h. 4️⃣Então, derreta o #chocolate e cubra as #TortinhasDeGranola que estavam no freezer. blueberry chia cups ✨ The base is coconut chia pudding & I added blueberry nice cream, frozen blueberries, and frozen blackberries on top.
