ATTN: Parents, Godparents & Everyone
I became a godmother 3 years ago to my nephew, Luca♡. I knew when I was asked to take this role, it was time to "step it up" and do a much better job at living out my Christian faith so that I could set a good example for this little one, whose soul would be entrusted, by his parents and by God, in part to me.
Here is what the Church has to say about the role of godparents (according to the Catechism of Trent) :
Concerning this very ancient practice (the Sacrament of Baptism) we have this noteworthy testimony of St. Denis (Christian bishop of Paris and martyr 250 AD): It occurred to our divine leaders (so he called the Apostles), and they in their wisdom ordained that infants should be introduced (into the Church) in this holy manner that their natural parents should deliver them to the care of someone well skilled in divine things, as to a master under whom, as a spiritual father and guardian of his salvation in holiness, the child should lead the remainder of his life. The same doctrine is confirmed by the authority of Hyginus (2nd century Pope/Bishop of Rome).
⛪
Let all sponsors, then, at all times recollect that they are strictly bound by this law to exercise a constant vigilance over their spiritual children, and carefully to instruct them in the maxims of a Christian life; so that these may show themselves throughout life to be what their sponsors promised in the solemn ceremony.
They ought, he (St. Augustine, 4th & 5th century philosopher, theologian and doctor of the Church) says, to admonish them (the godchildren) to observe chastity, love justice, cling to charity; and above all they should teach them the Creed, the Lord's Prayer, the Ten Commandments, and the rudiments of the Christian religion.
Happy parenting everyone, whether or both physical and spiritual! I hope you've learned something♡. (I believe that all of the above goes for Confirmation sponsors as well. Correct me if I am wrong.)

Today B and I blessed our crystals, pulled our goddess cards, showered them with sacred sound, and then danced around them to celebrate and honor the wisdom unveiled. Afterwards, I thanked him for playing with me and he in turn said, “thank you for letting me! You’re the sweetest mommy in the whole world.” men are just as wounded as women. They have forgotten just as much as we how sacred our bodies and our blood are. They have a burning desire to remember the truth just as much as we desire to re-member it into this society. I firmly believe that the more we as mothers involve our sons in our remembrance of the goddess, the feminine, the magic, that we nurture the remembrance of men’s reverence and respect for the wombyn (they’re born with it, it has to be nurtured ) and the foundation for men to revere and respect all parts of himself, so that we may all be empowered in our fullness. Since I was just a little girl I have felt deeply resonate with the suffering of women throughout centuries of abuse, degradation, and devaluing. I didn’t understand why I felt this so strongly until I learned about womb mysteries, the truth about witches and the rise of the patriarchy. As a mama who embodies a commitment for respecting the feminine and masculine as one whole, honoring the blood of the wombyn, and the wombyn’s sacred connection to the earth, the cosmos, & the magic world, I hold dear my responsibility to illuminate the power, grace, and magic of wombyn and of the womb, from which he was born, from which we were all born. This is my contribution to the future of how men and women relate to, respect, and co-exist with one another. .

The most powerful teaching is not what you say or do to them, but your state of consciousness at home. That’s the very foundation for teaching your children. It has nothing to do with teaching, the foundation for transmitting consciousness is not even wanting to transmit consciousness to them, but to hold the space of presence as you interact with them at home.” — @eckharttolle ✶

#tbt to asking my little, 3 year old StarSeed to get into prayer pose. A year later and now he reminds ME to pray and to call on the Angels. If we tune in and breathe inside our Mommy moments, every day is truly Mother’s Day. ✨✨✨

☩Tuesday of the Fourth Week of Easter☩
#TODAYsGOSPEL (John 10:22-30) <--28th of April, 2015
The feast of the Dedication was taking place in Jerusalem. It was winter. And Jesus walked about in the temple area on the Portico of Solomon. So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered them, “I told you and you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify to me. But you do not believe, because you are not among my sheep. My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one can take them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can take them out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”

I dreamt of you last night. You were so present, like you’d never left at all. Maybe it wasn’t a dream? Maybe I allowed my mind to be still as I stepped through veils of illusion, attuned to the vibrational frequencies where there’s no separation and time doesn’t exist, where we let go of all attachments, our awareness of interconnectedness and infinite energies are One.... Wherever you are I’ll meet you there, in the space between heartbeats. Innately I know, we all know, we never forget the journey. You never left at all, only my mind made it so. Wherever you are, I am too. I am another you. You are another me. Together, we are One.

Today’s the last day of the school year, which I’ve eagerly anticipated for quite a while now. But I was flooded with emotions as my students & I talked with fondness about our year together. Each time I talk about what my students mean to me, I choke up. I don’t see them as just my students, but as my own children. They become my family & my home away from home. I share in their hopes and dreams, & accompany them through their struggles. It’s such a privilege to watch them grow over the course of the year & see them becoming the people that God has created them to be. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Teaching has given me a glimpse into the heart’s infinite capacity for love ... it doesn’t run out of room with a max of 24 students, but instead, grows & stretches with each new class of students each year. God calls us to love the people He places in front of us, & it is a blessing & an honor to get to love the students He places in front of me. Moving into my fifth (!!!) year of teaching with so much gratitude.
“Both spiritual companionship and spiritual motherliness are not limited to the physical wife and mother relationship, but they extend to all people with whom woman comes into contact.” - Edith Stein .

There is a richness in friendships that cross the vocation line- my consecrated and single girlfriends have been a refuge for me as wife and mother. It is UNCANNY how much we share the same struggles of chastity, body image, trust in God, and mothering, and being in their presence is the most refreshing drink of beauty friendship offers.

I also highly, highly recommend asking the Lord to send you a spiritual warrior and prayer (pen) pal if you haven’t already!
