And the kohlrabi are in all 20 of them and yes they have probably been in those little pots a little too long but in my defence they’ve been hardening off for the past 2 weeks just to be safe swipe to see who joined them in the bed not for a colour theme just because I had a bag which needed to get planted & because I read that onions are a good companion, the last photo is the purple party tucked up under the enviromesh which as you can see came up dazzling white after being soaked in sterilising tablets (not sure who gave me this tip but thank you & feel free to comment below as it worked a treat ) in other news it’s been a slow Sunday and I haven’t achieved half I set out to but another job ticked off of the list now to dig some spuds for dinner happy Sunday #gyo #purple #veggies #kohlrabi #seedlings #kitchengarden #allotment #growyourownfood #greenthumb #gardening

These hungry pigs are brought into the field of allotments in the #Gloucestershire village of Lechlade to eat all the weeds in the patches that are either not being used or are about to have new green-fingered owners. Pickings for tonight’s dinner! A vegetable tart featuring asparagus, garlic chives, leeks and flower sprouts. Topped with a couple of cracked eggs, curtesy of the girls and a few dollops of nasturtium pesto I made last year. I’ll be serving it with some baby lettuce leaves and boiled potatoes with mint.
