Have you ever tried making your own low waste + low tox baby wipes? They're so easy and work incredibly well. All you need is a glass jar, some boiled water, and cloth wipes. I love the organic cotton ones from @greenmtndiapers but you could easily cut up an old towel or some flannel receiving blankets. Put your wipes in a jar, cover with water, and you're good to go. I like to give them a little boost by adding coconut oil, a few drops of lavender essential oil, and a squirt of @branchbasics concentrate. ❤ #lowwasteparenting #makeclothmainstream

In the many years I have been flying my cloth nappy flag on social media I have seen so much conflict between parents on their choices single use x reusables nappies ♻️ those who can afford cheap nappies x expensive ones those who only use organic materials x those who will use all fibres Those who have hundreds and those who have 1 . There will always be a divide on opinions but there should never be a competition on who is doing it better . A well known ‘ disposable’ nappy brand has paid bloggers to pour water on single use nappies for advertising purposes on social media . While I am never going to pass judgement on parents who choose to use ‘disposables’ (part or full time ) on their babies; not a shaming post at all - I cannot just sit here and agree that it’s acceptable to throw away hundreds of plastic nappies that will sit for hundreds of years in landfills without any true need, it’s a needless waste just for ADs . Thank you to my lovely friend @emmareed_writes for bringing this to mine, and so many others, attention with her #thecheekofclothnappies . So here is some of my beautiful cloth nappies. It’s officially 1 month until my due date! ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ We have been so focused on moving from Colorado to California these past few weeks I sometimes forget that I’m having a baby in a month. Up until last week I hadn’t bought anything for baby but this week I have started collecting up a few things and it’s definitely starting feeling more real. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ I just got my cloth diapers in the mail yesterday. Although I don’t know many people who have cloth diapered, I’m planning to attempt the cloth route and will share how it goes. Any tips for me?

On the train selfie to say I'm out of Om Baby HQ for 10 days. The tired eyes are due to working till midnight the last 2 nights to get as many orders out there before this adventure. I'm off to the fields of fun this weekend so no radio contact at all, next week I'll be uploading the new jumpsuit prints (Inc this one) and lots of new prints for the collection as lots have sold out this month. I also think it's been the busiest month for Om Baby everrrrr so THANK YOU SO MUCH, seriously this is it for me now and every order makes a difference. Big big love, Alice xx

Was your news feed filled with the #cheektest posts campaign by @pampersuk_ire yesterday? Lots of pictures of women holding single use nappies to their cheek to see how dry and soft they felt after they poured water on them. Quite frankly, the photos are a bit ridiculous, and this unnecessary waste of even more nappies going to landfill enraged me. Among the madness, the post by @emmareed_writes stood out, starting #thecheekofclothnappies. So here I am, posting a slightly ridiculous picture of myself holding one of our lovely cloth nappies to my cheek. This nappy is made of soft organic cotton, topped with a beautifully soft fleece liner to wick away the moisture and keep baby's skin dry. No nasty chemicals here and the only smell is a hint of our @totsbots Parma Violets potion washing powder. Which would I rather put next to my baby's skin? No question, really!
