This week we speak to the Braaping Kiwi, Aaron Steinmann, and get his thoughts on traveling the world with a very adventurous machine; “I’d done a little trip to Laos and Thailand where I had rented bikes and traveled around. Then when I got home to New Zealand, I decided to move back to Oregon, where I’d previously lived. Then it occurred to me, what better way to get there than to ride a motorcycle. After that, once I’d arrived back, I couldn’t stop looking at Google maps. So I thought why don’t I head to the top of Alaska so I can say I went from the bottom of New Zealand to the top of the Americas. That’s when it turned into what I call my ‘Forrest Gump’ journey. A few people have been wondering what we're up to currently, and whats next! So, we completed the first section of our round the world trip in Jan 2019, UK to New Zealand in 10 months. At that point we flew to Italy and shipped our bikes, there were a couple of reasons for this. Firstly we have always dreamt of living in Italy and with Brexit looming we wanted to have all our documentation sorted pre exit date - which was put back and is still a mess today! Secondly the costs of shipping the bikes around were mounting up so we decided it was time to increase our workload and take on more clients (we're both freelance digital marketers). We've lived in Trento since then and now have our residency/Italian documentation, which is amazing! Whats next? Our little bike trip around Hungary and Romania, we're setting off next month. Next year, we are hoping to run our first motorcycle tour around the Stans (insanely excited!) and after that we plan on doing the next section of our trip which is Africa! Anyway, long rant update there.. Ill be surprised if you've reached this point ✌
