I loved my stay in Iran ..and would recommend it to everyone .. u gotta see it to believe it #offbeatwanderlust #iran #irantourism #solofemaletraveler #girlslovetravel #dametraveler #travelblogger #culturaltrip #esfahan
Possibly one of the most beautiful towns I have ever seen. So much history here. There are old stone ruins in the mountains where Monks first settled in the year 300.

"The landscape in Golestan Province, Iran.
It turns out that one of the least visited provinces in Iran is also the most beautiful.
Did you know that Iran was that green?" .

Cruise.com
Cruisedirect
Cruisequick
Vivavoyage
Seascanner
Vacations To Go

This is the Fire Temple, located in Yazd, one of the holiest places for Zorostrians. .
Do you know who are the Zorostrians? Zorostrianism is one of the world’s oldest religion and some evidence claims that its roots might date back to 4,000 years ago.
It was the official (and original I believe) religion in the pre-Islamic Persian Empire, until the 7th century, after the Muslim conquest of Persia.
However, still today, there is an actual Zorostrian community, living in different countries such as Iran, Iraq, Armenia, India and also the USA and Canada. .

One thing I like about Iran is that it has the perfect blend between tradition, Islam and West, which very few countries have.
One day, you can go to a traditional village and get blessed by an awesome Muslim family’s hospitality and, on the next day, you can have some vodka shots with some locals from the modern Iranian hip.
Today, I wanted to tell you my experience with the modern Iranian hip: In Iran, alcohol is forbidden and only available in the black market. Everybody knows that.
Many travelers think that, if they go to Iran, they won’t be able to get some drinks. Well, they can’t be wronger because, actually, I drank quite a lot and I never looked for it but it just came to me.
One day, in Gorgan, I was in a café having some coffee when a waiter approached me: ''Hey, do you want a mojito?'' ''Yeah, sure, you mean a virgin mojito, right?'' ''No, no, I mean a real mojito, with rum'' ''Well, hell yeah, why not?'' It was a real mojito and the café was absolutely crowded. Crazy.
Another day, I drank vodka shots with a local couple who picked me up when I was hitchhiking in Golestan province. They were having shots while driving. On day in Shiraz, I had some arak shots with a local, at 9:30am in the morning.
He had invited me to his house. When I went to the Zagros Mountains, some young locals were camping and having a big party, where they got really wasted.
If you follow the normal tourist path, you won't be in such situations but you need to get off the beaten track or meet some locals.
Iran is a very surprising country which should be on everyone's bucket list.
What about you?
Did you drink any alcohol when you were in Iran?
