One of my favourite arm exercises I do at least once a week. Rope hammer curls. I always do some kind of version of hammer curls each session though. It’s either these or concentration hammer curls with your elbow supported against your knee. That one time in prep when I was like “ok what in the actual the F#*%.” . All kidding aside man I really loved this look. Prob around 265-270 here. This was in May 2016 so 2 years ago. However Last year I did get into the best shape of my life last but honestly I didn’t like my look. I thought I looked small ( even though I’m sure I wasn’t ). I’ve just always been known for my freaky size and I found when I try to get too lean I start losing that wow factor. I’ve said this before you have to find that right balanc. I do find however for most competitors being peeled is a good look for them. I Just find myself I don’t like the look of too shredded. #balanceiskey
Clip of the other days shoulder workout doing “strict “ seated laterals. My all time favourite for building those boulder shoulders. I credit these especially to helping me build those nice round shoulders especially when looking at them from the front. Now I call these “strict “ seated laterals because there just that In the way keep my chest supported against the pad ( so I can’t get any body momentum ) and keep my feet back and away ( so I can’t use any leverage from my feet being on the ground as base ) which In doing both of these makes you really use the targeted muscles your trying to hit. Also at the end of each set I like to flex them by pushing my hands into my legs or waist to really get the blood in there and pop them out as you can see at the end of this set. Laterals are prob one of of the top exercises I see being executed wrong. Either there rotating their wrists so much that they turn it into a rotator exercise or they’re using too much momentum so not really using there side delts as much as they should or there using way too much traps cause the weight is too heavy so they shrug more than they raise it laterally. I am going to make another video next time showing the wrong way people preform this exercise and my way of doing them. #boulder-shoulders #goodform
Couple clips of hitting triceps yesterday after chest and delts. Trying to get these guns back to what they were at 23 inches even though I’m not even sure what there at right now but id imagine around 22. Common mistake I see in the gym is guys putting too much emphasis on biceps vs triceps meanwhile triceps take up 2/3rds of your arm. So if you guys want big arms make sure your putting as much if not more emphasis on your triceps. And one thing I’ve always done since I started training and I believe has helped me get big arms is I stretch my triceps a lot between sets. It really stretches the muscle fascia so you an allow the muscle to grow. It’s weird cause I only do this for triceps not biceps. And make sure as usual that your using full ROM as seen in these clips and all my training clips actually. All the way up getting a full stretch ( without your elbow coming up ) and than all the way down getting a lock out. None of these 1/2 or even 1/3rd rep bs i see in the gym everyday. Come on guys if you can’t do full ROM than it’s too HEAVY!!!
