Today I don't feel so inspirational. I've given all I have. And, so instead of engaging in harmful workaholic behavior & dishonoring my boundaries in the ways I used to before, I'm going to ask for what I need. It has taken me a long time to learn to honor my boundaries, care for myself, & be vulnerable. Because I learned to be strong, I'm the eldest daughter of a single mom who was also the eldest daughter. In Mexican culture, we are taught to "aguantar." it means to withstand pain & it's viewed as a strength. And, it can be, but it's not when we don't allow ourselves to feel. In doing this work, it recently dawned on me that this is a trauma response. In Latinx psychology, it's presented as a cultural value. But, I realize now that this is something we learned from the trauma of colonialism. Our ancestor's pain didn't matter & they had to keep pushing to survive. Does this sound familiar? Can you see how this ancestral trauma from colonization has been passed down? Can you see how you're healing is liberation work? Can you see how decolonizing your mind is essential to your liberation? Can you see how colonialism still creates mental & emotional blocks for us today? I hope so, because that's the work I'm here to do with women of color. And next week I'll be doing some of that work in an intimate way through Patreon. I can see your face & interact during the live group coaching sessions for WOC. As an intuitive empath, I really thrive off of connection & I'm so looking forward to connecting with you in this way. My work is with women of color. For their healing, for their liberation. This is a reminder to you. You don't have to do this alone. Having to be "too strong" is what is making you sick. It is what is blocking your healing. The reason I write about therapy and counseling as being Indigenous practices is so you know that healing is ancestral. It is not a white thing. They convinced you that healing was white to continue to keep you oppressed, they infused it with white supremacy to control you, and they did this knowing that they inflicted a soul wound by colonizing you, your people, your traditions, your medicine. I write for you, I do healing work for you, I am you. Our liberation is in our collective healing. Let's discuss tonight live at 9pm PST live. What makes it hard for you to be vulnerable? Our connection to our emotional wellbeing, our upbringing & our roots. The seeds from which we unfold. OUR ANCESTRAL LINE ~ our whakapapa. Generational gifts & curses. Ancestral wisdom & guidance. The wounds & trauma embedded into our DNA that our Tīpuna (Ancestors) were unable to heal in their own life times. . Breaking these curses is no joke. We are healing beyond ourselves ~ ON A GENERATIONAL LEVEL. Beginning to understand that many of the negative cycles that have been manifesting through us for years, actually stem from trauma that has accumulated in our DNA over life times. . Many of our Ancestors lived their lives in survival mode. They couldn't have imagined the kinds of luxuries that we enjoy today. Being able to focus on our emotional wellbeing and finding ourselves is a luxury in itself, and for many of us, we are the first in our generational line to be consciously involved in this kind of work. That is why there is so much of it to do, and why our work here is often unappreciated or misinterpreted. . When our Ancestors departed from this earth they left their pain and stress in their bodies to be returned back to Papatuanuku (mother earth), and became an enlightened, all seeing and understanding version of themselves in the spiritual realm. They move with you, even if you are unaware of their prescence, guiding you always. Their pain is now our pain to heal, but their strength, their resilience and their wisdom is our power. . If you have not yet initiated this connection or would like to strengthen it, this 4th house hui (meeting) of the planets is the perfect time to open that channel. The eclipse allowed so much new energy to come through and the veil is thinner, our intuition is heightened & our emotions more fluid. The disconnection from our Ancestors is only ever one sided, and once you set the intention to connect with them you will. . . . . . . . . . .

I often hear the argument that we should be vegetarian or vegan because people who live in the blue zones are plant based ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ However, I would argue that animal foods and animal fats are a big part of their diet that people are not talking about ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ I’m not denying that these people consume a large amount of plant foods. What I’m saying is that these cultures consume more animal foods than is lead to believe ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ The book “Blue Zones” has been criticised immensely, surprisingly by a lot of people who live near or around these blue zones ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ For example the data they used to say that the Okinawan people are plant based is based on a study done just after the war. At this time there was a low population of pigs. Just after this study was done the population of pigs rose again and they started consuming lots of pork and pork fat again ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ We see this once again in (Nicoya) Costa Rica. The book fails to mention how they cook all their food in lard. Did they forget to ask them what they cook their food in? In fact Costa Ricans have argued that they consume a lot more meat than the book documented ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Of course diet is not the only factor that plays a role in the blue zones longevity.
