Repost @thelocalproject :
The Crafers House by @urbanhabitats_sa was designed around two set parameters of maximising solar access and creating a private external space were the critical parameters, with specific focus on thermal performance of the home and an economical response to the relief over the building footprint.
In response to this brief, the design features a grouping of three gable-roofed pods joined by a flat roof hallway, while the internal palette of material carries in from the external selection and creates a functional, warm family home that will ultimately grow overtime as the landscape develops around it.
Through a detailed design process Urban Habitats have developed an elegant yet simple home inside and out, exemplifying the firms multi-faceted skillset of documentation, design and construction.

Garden pavilion #marchsthouse. ⠀⠀
A stunning, fully renovated house to a south facing block in central Orange, NSW. A pavilion was installed that is separate to the existing house to allow for a new north facing living pavilion. The pavilion uses a palette of black steel, glass and timber that frames the views to the lush private gardens. ⠀⠀⠀

Who needs this?!
The Velux balcony roof window installed on a vaulted wall leaves the impression that it adds additional square footage to the space! While optimising space, it is also a feature that breaks the norm and adds an interesting touch to the traditional gable roofing. What do you think? Is this genius? // Video by @patrynwoodworks

Timber cladding to blend in with the surrounding environment and more frameless glazing than a lot of designs !! I could definitely live here......

Wall goals? What do you think?
Despite an expected minor cost issue, the idea of transforming a wall into something computational and active is quite interesting. What do you think? Is it too much, or would it be interesting to play with smaller versions to create an energetic home? It is designed by @zhestkov.
