What a wonderful experience at one of the World’s 50 best restaurants, Gaggan. Named after it’s chef-owner Gaggan Anand. Known for its molecular gastronomy techniques in its presentation of his work. Famous for its emoji menu to represent each course. I had so much fun anticipating how each course would look and taste! Ahhhh and it did not disappoint, they were all so special and thoughtful! Tips: Must book way in advance. We booked ours 5 months ahead just to secure a weekend spot. 8000THB per person. If you want to be seated at the chefs table (not guaranteed), make sure you don’t request any food allergies and wine pairing is a must. Go with a pretty empty stomach to enjoy the 25 tasting courses!

Japanese maple tree is an appreciation to my Japanese grandparents and to this day they have this beautiful Japanese maple tree in their yard and it was beautiful. Bright green in the summer and bright red in the fall, since I was 18 I wanted to plant a maple tree in my restaurant. Every time when I look at it, it will remind me of Ji-ji & cha-chan, my Deepest LOVE for my grandparents. This is also the reason why I have a Japanese maple tree sleeve tattooed on my right arm.
