Quick flash back to a time when we were expecting, waiting and trusting God for our second baby. We got pregnant with our first so easily so why was it proving difficult with the second? Month after month we tried and got disappinted but stayed expectant. I bought so many pregnancy sticks that period. In fact, the way I was buying them one will think I was planning to open a maternity shop ‍♂️ • At last, the day came - A day I will never forget because of the sound of joy in our home that evening. @ope_davies had gone in to do her thing and given me the stick as per business as usual. I had that stick in my hand watching it in 4D. What was supposed to take a few seconds seemed like hours as I was patiently waiting for that line to appear on the stick...That line was the most important thing to me at the time. • "Baby this is a positive pregnancy" I shouted as the thick pink line was slowly appearing." Baby this is a postive pregnancy". " No you are joking let me see" she responded with excitement in her voice. I carrried her (don't know where I got the strength from) as we were both screaming and shouting not caring about a potential noise pollution. To be double sure, she went and got another more expensive and accurate stick and the result was the same. "WE" WERE PREGNANT. That was the end of the anxiety, tension, frustration, and disappointment. God had done it again and our joy was full • God's plan is to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29: 11). To expect means to hope for, look for and believe that something will arrive soon. I don't know what or who you are expecting (favour, job, husband, wife, healing, restoration, promotion, baby) but whatever you do, don't stop expecting. When you stop expecting, you stop trying, you stop acting, stop believing and stop doing. Expectation mixed with faith is what produces our desired results. • I join my faith with yours and pray that what you are expecting in accordance with the will of God for you, will arrive soon in Jesus' name. Old pic but I like... ...So yesterday after church, we went out for Sunday brunch. Got to this popular American resturant where we were told it was a 20 minute wait for a table. As a hungry man I said to madam "Can't wait for 20 minutes. Let's try the other resturant down the road". • Arrived at this other equally popular resturant and to my surprise it was half empty . Without hesitating, we agreed to eat there and before we blinked, we were ushered to our seats. "Good thing we decided to come here" I said with a big grin on my face. We placed our order and waited to be served. • 10 minutes, no food. Well not bad as you need up to 10 minutes to make the food isn't it? We chilled. 20 minutes, no food. I called one of the Servers. "Aunty how far now? We are hungry". She came, started making jokes and playing with my children. "Oh please gerrahea man, bring our food" was what I was saying in my mind • 30 minutes no food. This time, I asked @ope_davies to ask how far because if I had to ask how far again, they would've witnessed the Nigerian blood in me . She came back and said we were next to be served. I said okay with a grumpy look 35 minutes later - All heads turned as the Servers were walking by, pushing chairs and tables, carrying huge heavy bags and trays of food. Apparently, someone had placed a really large order for a special occassion. • 40 minutes later, they brought our food It was when I was eating I began to process it ' large order, large order, large order'. I began to imagine how long the owners of the large order would've waited for and the joy they felt when their order was delivered. • This month I am believing God that heaven will deliver my large order in Jesus' name. The type that when delivered, heads will turn, noise will be heard and people will shout. Amen.
