Working on those balance skills! New record of 6seconds. My little Human and I spend our days playing, balancing, training, and learning together. (Though I’m in no hurry to have her be mobile!) We don’t have a Tv in our house. I’ve always been adamant on only keeping board games in our home. I try my best to minimize screen time to only 10-30 minutes a day and it’s only in ASL, Cantonese, Polish or Spanish. I’m not going to lie it’s not easy trying to find things to do when it’s too cold outside. I often sneak a little Netflix in for myself, in the background where she can’t see the screen. Great humans don’t just happen. We as parents need to set the example as best we can and demonstrate restraint and moderation especially with eating well and avoiding digital devices. #drunkenduck My Father always said that I walked at 9months old. He said I just stood up and started givin’er. I haven’t overly encouraged my Little Human to walk- mostly because her daddy works shift work and that means I’m a single mom weeks at a time. However we still end up spending a lot of time playing together and doing baby exercises so it was doubtful those little legs would remain still for long. I guess like her mama she’s always been rearing to be independent. I remember holding her at 2 weeks old thinking I already missed the newborn her. Now she’s just 9 months old and I find myself trying to hug this bucking bull as it tries to wriggle out of my arms. Not so lucky for her I have big strong climber arms and I can still get my hugs in.
