So... here’s why I’ve been a tad absent on Insta lately. I’m growing a little Green Bean I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant and @greendog02 and I are beyond excited! Nausea and tiredness are a constant struggle, and so Slimming World has gone completely out of the window. Everything I use to love, I now hate. I can’t stand salmon. Wait, what now?! I can’t stomach meat either. My body has already changed, but it's all totally worth it. Although, I wish my clothes would stretch with me! I am hoping to follow the Slimming World Pregnancy Plan once I've kicked the nausea, but for now I’m just eating what I fancy when I fancy. Thank you for bearing with me, lovelies! I’ve been racking my brain what to say about this week being National Infertility Awareness Week. It’s such a tough topic to skirt around. Some couples are accepting of it, others have the hardest time, some go into a deep depression, while others don’t know how to move forward in life. For me, most had no clue we were going through infertility and still don’t to this day. I chose to be happy on the outside and about 50% on the inside. The other 50%, I was aching. The one moment in my life that completely changed my outlook on infertility was meeting my two birth mamas. Did you know, that neither of them have ever asked about my infertility? While complete strangers ask me what’s wrong on that region ‍♀️ I remember talking to Lemmon’s birth mom for the first time and as the conversation ended I wanted to yell out “Don’t you want to know about our infertility? Don’t you want to make sure I’m not truly broken?!” And the same with Honey’s birth mom. They did not care one bit. It didn’t matter to them. They could see me and know in their hearts that I would be a good mama to their babies even if my insides weren’t working properly. That’s when my perspective on infertility changed. My infertility doesn’t define me, it’s actually made me stronger and the mom i am today. And for that, I’m thankful for my infertility. If the two woman who entrusted me with their babies don’t care, then why let it eat me alive. This week doesn’t mean sadness for me or bitterness. It means I am freaking bad a for going through what I did and I am a dang good mom because of it
