When I bought my first baby carrier I scoffed at the weight limit of 20kg- like seriously, who was going to be carrying around a 20kg kid, ever?! Well I can assure you that there is no way I would be carrying one of my big kids in *that* particular carrier, because weight testing doesn't necessarily equal comfort! But there are definitely carriers available that can be versatile enough for baby, toddler AND big kid... Thank goodness! As you can see, a 17kg 4 year old still needs to be carried sometimes. And when she does, the 10kg 1 year old is NOT going to miss out on the action! We were like this for a good 10 minutes. My left arm, supporting master #gluebaby, was dead and gone. My right arm is gently wrapped around 17kg of grumpy, wiggly #velcrokid but it is comfortably embracing her, and there is absolutely no strain on that arm or my shoulder (despite the fact that she's in a ring sling!). When they recovered from their moment of need and climbed down to continue their day, I realised I could've attempted to tandem with another ring sling-- #missedopportunity And I was at a baby wearing meet.... definitely no shortage of ring slings available!
