! There are a few new faces around here so I wanted to reintroduce myself. I am an interior designer & creative consultant currently living in Seattle. My style is eclectic and detailed. My signature is how I layer - patterns, textures, color and narrative. I love to mix new and old and (of course) high and low. But most importantly, I subscribe to the mentality that life nor design should ever be taken too seriously. In Seattle most of my current work is residential, but would love to take on another restaurant or boutique hotel project, or a very fun retail boutique or pop-up that I could blitz out from concept to execution - I miss my NYC creative visual merchandising days! . My husband and I moved out here from NYC 3 years ago. I still split my work life between the two cities, but just this year I officially have more Seattle clients than New York! I will always identify myself as an east coaster, tho so far the left coast is treating us well. . We purchased a house last fall in Beacon Hill that we are slowly renovating. I’m sharing that process in my stories - the good, the bad, the boring and of course the drama that comes along with renovations (#ourseattlecraftsman). I intend to be honest about the struggles we have even though I feel like sometimes with this being my job, it should be so much easier. However, it can really flip you when you’re the designer AND the client. . The house is a 1916 craftsman with a ton of its original charm. It just needs a facelift. It also has an epic edible garden (hence the rhubarb) that I’m slowly also redesigning. . what else? I love to travel, I share and our itineraries in my stories (#alayeredlifetravels). I eat a mainly plant based diet and deeply care for animals (also share plenty of plant based friendly restos in my stories).
