The girls bedtime story. With this month marking 50 years since the first man landing on the moon there has been a flurry of publications around this topic. I intend to share more but firstly let me introduce you to Astro Girl. Oh Astrid, we love your ambition, observing your relationship with your dad and we thought the ending was pretty ace too. Astrid is a young girl who wishes to be an astronaut. She is inspired by someone very special in her life. Whilst spending the day with her daddy they discuss what it entails being an astronaut. The points mentioned are great learning points to explore further with young readers but I appreciate the way they are cleverly included within the story. As well as the inclusion of expert vocabulary relating to space, at the end of the book there is a wonderful informative page highlighting inspiring women who have done exactly what Astrid wants to do. Seek this book out, it’s great. Happy Thursday! Educators week continues and I've decided to feature the best of the best educators in my sons life.  Excellent educators are like a kiss on the forehead from heaven Today Feature is Mrs. Blossom Barker Operation Associate. Resurgence Hall Charter School Mrs. Blossom Barker is the Operation Associate at Resurgence Hall Charter School. Mrs. Barker came into our lives last year.  She was our sons kindergarten teacher.  As new parents we was extremely nervous. We didn't know how he would adjust, if he would be able to make new friends or if he would be a good student.  Mrs. Barker insured us that he would do great as long as we did our part as parents.  We needed more hand holding than our son did. She definitely handled us with care. He is successfully doing word problems in the 1st grade and his hand writing continue to improve because she set the foundation in kindergarten. She isn't his teacher anymore but we are still her bug-a-boos. When you love my babies and want success for them I will love you for eternity. Mrs. Blossom Barker is one of those people.

Reading time This weekend we don’t have TikTok in our feed but some library time ☺️ Don’t worry we have time for both • Our library in town was renovated this summer and it has special places for children to read, like in the photos. Isn't that great? Wish I could have this environment when I was a child. • Jasmine got 2 books at Christmas with Isadora Moon an they are very interesting so we decided to check if there are full series in the library. We found them, she read a bit in the library, but the rest are for home for bedtime story ☺️ • Isadora Moon is half vampire and half Fairy, totally unique. Resurgence Hall Charter School Mrs. Laura Flynn George is the Director Literacy & Early Intervention at Resurgence Hall Charter School. We choose  Resurgence Hall because it's a small school that focus heavily on literacy and math.  Mrs. George came into our lives last year.  She took the literacy program and skyrocketed it to the next level. I felt and still feel like I'm back in school . Some of the spelling words they need to know I have to use auto correct to make sure a 1st grader isn't smarter than me . This year she implemented bedtime storytime.  It's so wonderful to see how excited my son is and how engaged and focus he is during bedtime storytime. When you love my babies and want success for them I will love you for eternity. Mrs. Laura Flynn George is one of those people.

Our latest library find, approved by both my girlies is brilliant. Not Just a Book is funny, a fantastic rhyming read aloud and is imaginative. A book can be used for a great many things, flower pressing, making book towers and more but the best thing of all is that it can take you on a journey anywhere, teach you things you want to know and they can be a good giggle too.
