I is for...The Island of Dr. Moreau, and probably my most well-worn of my well-worn books. This is a relic from my college years, when every page was punctuated by mindless doodles, and tea stains. I’m going to need all the big coffee magic today! I’m down to the last 200 pages of this 700-page doorstopper I had to read for work. I know I can make it before the weekend and then read whatever I want (or another big tome). Anyone like to prep their weekend for a new read? . This book has me thinking a lot about big books. I love big books (and I cannot lie), but there’s an art to writing a giant tome you want people to read. I’ll have to write it all down, but what motivates you to read big?

#TenonmyTBR // BIG BOOKS — As part of the two readalongs I’m taking part in this summer (#DickeBücherCamp & #LongDaysLongBooks), I want to dedicate time to reading the bigger books on my TBR (ranging from 490 to a whopping 832 pages.. I‘m looking at you, Eleanor Catton ). I obviously won’t be able to read all ten of these this summer, since I also want to read smaller books inbetween, but I’m really enjoying this project so far. I’m currently 100 pages away from finishing #Fingersmith which I‘m absolutely loving (so many twists and turns!) and I also started listening to the audiobook of #TheLittleFriend which I’ve been meaning to read for ages. I might do a little try a chapter thing to decide which one I‘ll go far after I‘ve finished #Fingersmith. Which one would you say I should pick?
