We have all heard the saying "don't work for someone else for 8 hours and then go home and not work on your own business." . The question is are you doing it? I can't even describe how tired I was at the end of an 8 hours shift working at a corporate job. It's like you get the new job, you learn the job, then for the rest of the time there you have to figure out how to keep push when you get fast at your job, learn politics, and make sure not to let anyone know you are working your own business outside of it because then they will fire you. Then when you get off you got to put in another 8 hours in your own business in order for you to make money. . Trust me, it is a lot but it is so worth it!!! Just remember the hard time, why you started the business, and what you want your life to look like by making the change.

If you cannot serve your current audience, you do not need more followers. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Listen guys, as a social media marketer I get asked a lot, “How can I get more followers?” That usually is followed by, how can I also increase my engagement.⁣ ⁣ And often times, people want more followers and engagement because they want more exposure to their business.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ They want more clients, they want more sales. But listen guys, if you can’t figure out how to serve your current audience, you shouldn’t be looking for a larger one. That’s just being real. ⁣ ⁣ If you can’t figure out how to offer value to the audience you currently have, what makes you think that having a larger audience will solve that problem? ⁣ It won’t.⁣ ⁣ You’ve got to learn to work with the little that you have so that when you have a lot more, you’ll be crushing it.⁣ ⁣ Learn the basics now. Learn how to give value. Figure out what types of things will make your audience engage with you more. ⁣ ⁣ Learn these things now. If all you focus on is growth, growth, growth, then what’s going to happen is, you may start cutting corners to get that growth. ⁣ ⁣ You don’t want to be like those people that have a large following with absolutely horrible engagement. It’s always better to focus on quality rather than quantity.⁣ ⁣ I’d rather have 1 thousand engaged followers that love and enjoy the content I put out, than 10 thousand followers that show no love or engagement on any of my content.⁣ ⁣ But hey, that’s just me.
